6 Tips For Your Spring Skincare Routine

Updated: May 19, 2020

Locked up with this virus, whilst the budding blossoms bloom and warmer mornings.

Well, why not take advantage and read more our spring skin routine. You’ll be tossing out those winter knits and take out those spring sun shades.

1. Spring clean that skincare shelf

This is a clean and simple rule to start with, let’s get those shelfs clean and stockless. Out with and in the with new, there are so many amazing products to stock up with. With toners, clay face masks and moisturisers. Go back to the basics.

2. Let’s Lighten Up

When springtime comes to mind, you think freshness and flowers. We have multiple products that encapsulate spring. During the day, I use Amphora Aromatics Jasmin, Rosehip and Mimosa moisturisers, it’s a great foundation for oily skin, at night I use Clinique’s Super Defence cream, it’s a fab product as it maintains the hydration of the skin. Keeping it light and fresh.

3. Let’s Get Rid of That Winter Skin

Your spring skincare routine should be about covering not just your face but your whole body. Give your skin that extra hydration boost, that it desperately needs. Exfoliation needs to be a part of your skincare routine. AA Skincare has clay face masks, in Honey and Vanilla, Frankincense and Rose and with Mint and Dead Sea salt. Each are designed to give your skin a bit of TLC. Which will leave you with a healthy glow.

4. Much more Moisturiser

Our skin has been hidden this winter, necks under scarfs, ears under hats and hands covered up by gloves. Your skin needs more moisturising, something that will hydrate the skins surface and soak through. From almond and sandalwood hand cream and our comfrey cream, we have many creams to bring your skin back to life. Just like a spring awakening.

5. Don’t Skip that Much Needed SPF Routine

Like the Beetles sing, here comes the sun! That doesn’t mean you skip on SPF, even though we may have a few clouds in the sky. Doesn’t mean you can miss it off your skincare list.

Make sure you use products that will be good for your skin and keep it healthy. Dermalogica sent me a great SPF product which allows your skin to breathe nicely and keeps a creates a barrier to keep away infections to the skin!

6. Good to Try Something New

So, our last piece of advice for you, is to try something new. A product you don’t usually try or maybe something you’ve had your eye on for a while. Just add it to your cart or pick it up and see if it helps your skincare routine.

Just tweaking that routine can change a lot, especially with sun coming out and the flowers blooming. It’s time to switch things up!
