Bristol's Best Dinner Spots

Updated: Jan 28, 2020

Hello reader,

Welcome to my first foodie post, since my last blogging venture. I did little talking about food and since that, I have been lucky to delve and experience some of the best of what Bristol has to offer. We all know January is a blue and a dry one for the bank account. But it doesn’t mean you can’t book up on some of the best places. In today’s blog post I’ll be chatting about (some of my personal favourite) eating spots across Bristol. No particular order, as I couldn’t choose a favourite! So let’s begin.

Keepers In Bristol

Corn Street is home to the best food spots in Bristol, from The Cosy Club and San Carlo. But at the top of this street is a secret spot, that I have published across my Instagram. Keepers In Bristol is part of the Mercure Hotel, with a distinctive interior taken from Beehive. The style of this restaurant is inspired by those beautiful creatures. From lots to choose from, let’s say you don’t leave feeling empty. My stomach was full reader, with multiple options, you have the pick of most anything. From sharing dishes, Italian dishes, fish, steak.

I had the fish and chips the last time I visited, which really was incredible. To drink I obviously had a cosmopolitan but I did have a gin with some of the house homemade honey. Partnered with their local beekeeper, they harvest their own honey! Which is incredible! The staff are amazing, anything you want to eat or drink. They mould themselves so you can have the best experience possible.

It’s honestly incredible! It’s a perfect place to unwind and let the night take you.

This restaurant is open from seven in the morning to ten at night!

Noto Bar

A little hop, skip and jump from Corn Street to White Ladies Road. Full of snazzy cocktail bars. Sat in amongst them all is a little wine bar and restaurant spot called Noto.

It’s been a hot minute since dining in this spot for me, but it made this list because of how incredible the food is! With brunch and dinner plates in mind, this spot opened me up to different tastes. With the chef bringing my Nonna and I a surprise, we didn’t know what to expect! They have a mixture menu, with smaller plates and larger ones too.

My Nonna had the Calarmi and Whitebait which she quotes “the best dish she had all week!” And I had the King Prawns with thin cut Italian herb fries which were delicious.

It’s a summer spot, everyone needs to attend because it’s got that summer vibe to it, but also it serves a great little spot during winter. It’s open from Tuesday to Saturday, hours differ on the weekend as they close at eleven in the evening! This spot is a good one to chill at and enjoy the hustle and bustle of White Ladies Road.

Pizza 1889

This post may as well be in Italian, as the next stop is straight back into the heart of Broadmead. Becoming a favourite of hungry shoppers Pizza 1889 is a Bristolian favourite. Nothing beats homemade Italiano pizza.

Myself and Emma, came across this little food heaven when we had our evening plans fall apart. And we came across this haven, ordering two Margaritas, they fill an empty stomach. The best bit about this heaven on Earth is that all pizzas are under five pounds!

WHAT A FABULOUS BARGAIN. Can’t get much better than that! Open from 11:30-9 pm in Broadmead, so the next time you smell the deliciousness that is Pizza 1889 make your way over!

Steak of The Art

Gosh, I’m taking you all over Bristol. But the best places are always spread out! The next one I have for you is Steak of The Art, and I couldn’t not take my Dad. He loves steak and I was excited to try something new. Now reader, think art meets food. Literally, I was sat with my Dad in a designed feature of Alice In Wonderland and it was hand-carved!

For starters, myself and Dad had a chilli plate with calamari accompanied by battered broccoli and coneflower. For mains, Dad had the house steak “wow, amazing, I love it!” And I had the chicken breast with leek and mash. Well, it was magical, to say the least! Finishing with a chocolate fudge cake. I left heavier than the wood I was sat in!! Steak of The Art opens at 12 pm and closes at 11 pm! It’s something you’ll definitely want to attend after a long week.

With these four places in mind remember all dining places in Bristol are distinctive and all have their own cool concepts! Let me know, your favourite food spots in Bristol. I’d love to try somewhere new.
